Squash events are being held around the globe on 12 October to celebrate the sport and introduce new players. Here at the University of Birmingham, which is home to both the British Junior Open, the most prestigious squash competition for juniors, and the squash event for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, our student Squash Club is organising a FREE ‘big hit’ for juniors who are interested in picking up a racquet and trying something new! Read on for more information, and celebrate this wonderful game with the club next month.
Our World Squash Day 2019 Junior ‘Big Hit’ will be a fun event and great opportunity for juniors to try playing squash. We’re hoping to inspire the next generation of young squash players!
Our event is aimed at juniors aged 7-16 with abilities ranging from first-timers to beginner/intermediate level.
Our event will be held at the University of Birmingham Sport & Fitness squash courts. It will run from 2pm – 3.20pm on Saturday 12 October, 2019.
Please bring non-marking shoes and athletic clothing. In addition, if you have a squash racquet and goggles please bring those. No worries if not – equipment will be provided.
Please email Sam Scivier (University of Birmingham Squash Club President) at email@example.com to sign up. Additionally, feel free to email if you have any questions about the event.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the squash courts to celebrate World Squash Day 2019 with us!
