Adam Peaty Swim Clinic
AP race, built by Triple Olympic Champion Adam Ramsay-Peaty, strives to push the swimming world to be ‘Better Than Yesterday’.
The University hosted the swim clinic, where a team of world class athletes and practitioners coach swimmers to improve their performance in a high-level training environment.
The experience runs from focusing on specific skills to the ultimate Race Clinic, which is an intense experience. It is an incredible opportunity for swimmers to be able to be coached and learn from their swimming idol.
BCFC Powerchair Launch
The University of Birmingham had the amazing opportunity of hosting The Birmingham City FC Foundation official launch of its new Powerchair Football programme.
This programme has helped open another pathway for disabled people to play football, represent the Blues and be part of the club, as well as bringing together new members of the Powerchair Football programme.
The attendees had the opportunity to have a training session with Birmingham City players Jay Stansfield and Carlos Vicente, and Clinton Morrison, sports pundit and former Blues Striker, was in attendance.
The University is proud to house this event that has marked an important step in the Foundation’s ongoing commitment of making football accessible to all. The programme will provide opportunities for disabled people across Birmingham and beyond, whether they are experienced powerchair footballers or are completely new to the sport.
