The Birmingham Lions are back for the 2019-20 England Squash Premier Squash League after narrowly missing out on a place in the semi-finals last year.

The League plays a thrilling best-of-three format and features some of the world’s top players. Returning for the Birmingham Lions this year is Joel Makin who ranks 12 in the world and joining the pride is newly crowned European Individual Champion, Nele Gilis.

All of the Birmingham Lions home matches will take place on the glass back courts at University of Birmingham Sport & Fitness, which has in-built spectator seating. A courtside bar serving drinks and snacks will be available.


Match day tickets are available to buy online in advance or from reception up to one hour before the start of the match. There is also the option to choose between premium and standard tickets.

Premium tickets include:

  • Premium reserved back wall seating
  • Access to VIP lounge with complimentary pre-match buffet and hot drinks
  • Complimentary drink from the courtside bar (selected alcoholic and soft drinks)
  • Access to player meet and greet

Standard tickets include:

  • Courtside seating
  • Complimentary drink from the courtside bar (selected alcoholic and soft drinks, only included in adult tickets)

Match-Day Tickets

Available online in advance, or from reception up to one hour before the start of the match.

Tickets are non-refundable. In the event of a match being cancelled, all tickets purchased will be valid for the next home fixture.

Car Parking

Sport & Fitness Car Park
Access is directly off Edgbaston park road. This is a chargeable car park, PSL supporters will received a reduced rate of £5 which can be claimed by showing their match night ticket to reception.

Bournbrook Car Park
Access is from within the University campus. Enter the University by the East Gate on Edgbaston Park Road. Once passing through the security barriers turn left. Take the next left down the hill. This car park is FREE after 6pm.
