OUR MISSION

Our mission is to provide premium facilities and expertise to all our members, so we ask that members respect the Sport & Fitness Etiquette:

  • Always bring your ID / membership card or you will not be able to access the club
  • Wear appropriate clothing for the activity you’re doing
  • All bags and personal belongings should be secured within a locker
  • Do not block fire exits and walk ways
  • Please do not enter an activity room if you are more than 5 minutes late for the start of the class and have missed the warm up
  • Registers will be taken in classes to ensure you have booked
  • No eating or chewing gum in the studios
  • Complete an induction before using the gym
  • Bring a towel and your membership card to every visit to the gym
  • Use your towel to sit / lie on when using the equipment
  • Wipe equipment after use 
  • Wear suitable, clean footwear at all times
  • There is a 20 minute limit on cardiovascular equipment during busy periods
  • Return all equipment to the correct place when finished
  • No eating or chewing gum in the gym
  • Always use collars on barbells
  • Do not unnecessarily drop the weights
  • Do not hold two pieces of kit or more than one set of dumbbells at once
  • Share equipment during busy periods
  • Do not step onto a platform if somebody is performing a lift
  • No walking on or diving from the boom or bulkhead
  • All swimmers must wear an appropriate coloured locker band at all times
  • All swimmers must shower before using the swimming pool
  • No outdoor footwear allowed in the pool hall or changing areas
  • The use of mobile phones/tablets/recording devices is not allowed in the pool hall or changing areas
  • Only plastic drinking bottles are allowed in the pool hall or changing areas
  • All bags must be stored in a locker whilst swimming
  • Swimming aids are provided for programmed sessions only
  • Children under 4 years of age must wear a swimming nappy
  • No spitting allowed
  • No changing on poolside. Please use changing areas provided
  • Children to Adult Ratios:
    • Children aged 2 and under – 1 adult : 1 child (The adult must be within reach of the child at all times)
    • Children aged 3 to 13 – 1 adult : 2 children; (The adult must directly supervise both children at all times)
    • Children aged 14 and over may swim unsupervised
    • Strong swimmers aged 8 to 13 can complete a competency test which may allow them to swim unsupervised in the water (supervision is still required on poolside)
  • Soft hand paddles are permitted in the following ratios:
    • 25m sessions 4 per lane
    • 50m sessions 8 per lane
