Lion Sports Award
The Lion Sports Award acknowledges incoming, first-year undergraduate and postgraduate student-athletes who compete within a BUCS-scoring sports and have the potential to make a significant contribution within our premier BUCS teams and a positive impact on Sport at University of Birmingham. Particular focus is given to our flagship and performance sports.
They have a cash award of up to £500 and can also offer a reduced conditional offer.
It is likely that successful applicants in this tier of scholarship will have a background that may include participation in national leagues, national level clubs or dependent on the sport, national or regional championship level events. Scholarships at University of Birmingham are highly competitive and this should be considered by applicants during this process.
Breakdown of the award
- Financial support: £500 award
- Undergraduate recipients may also be eligible for a one-grade reduction in the academic conditions of their offer to study at the University of Birmingham
