Campus League

Campus League is your chance to represent your course, department or society in recreational sport. Individual entries are available for those looking for a team to join or simply enter as a group of friends. Open to all University of Birmingham students and staff, leagues feature regular weekly fixtures and One Day Events host special one-off tournaments.

There is a range of sports to choose from; it is the perfect opportunity to develop your passion for sport, meet new people and keep active. There are no training commitments or selection criteria, just come along and play! See below for our full list of sporting activities that are available in Campus League.

Commences week beginning 24 June 2016

Entry deadline: Friday 21 June, 12pm
£110 per team (any number of players)

Open to all UoB post-grad students and staff members, get involved with some friendly football games over the summer vacation period. You’ll receive weekly fixtures for up to 10 consecutive weeks and all equipment is provided. All games are hosted on the water synthetic pitches (trainers/astro-trainers only) with medals available for the winners. Spaces are limited for each league and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Monday lunchtime: 12pm

Monday afternoon: 5pm

Wednesday lunchtime: 12pm




Campus League one day events are open to any student or staff member at the University. All equipment is provided for one day events, you just need to sign up and represent your college, school or department.


Saturday 8 June, Outdoor Tennis Courts, 1pm
Entry deadline 7/06/19
£10 per pair

Get involved with some friendly tennis doubles in the first ever Campus League Tennis One Day Event. Open to all UoB students, staff and alumni*, the mixed doubles event features round-robin matches before a single elimination tournament. A variation of the Fast4 format will be used (first to 4 games wins) with all rules explained on the day. Rackets are available to borrow on request, and each pair must include 1 male and 1 female player. All spaces are offered on a first-come, first-served basis!

6-A-Side Football

Saturday 8 June, Water Synthetic Pitches, 12-4pm
Entry deadline 6/06/19, 4pm
£35 per team

Returning by popular demand for Term 3 and hosted on the water synthetic pitches (trainers/astro-trainers only). This event features round-robin matches before a knockout tournament for each group winner. Squads can have up to 10 players, and it is open to all UoB students, staff and Alumni*. Medals are available for the winners, with a social event at Brooks afterwards for all participants. It is the perfect way to celebrate the end of the final term of 2018/19!

Campus League Sports Rep 2019/20

Applications are now open for Campus League student reps for the next academic year! A fantastic opportunity to experience managing a University-wide recreational league and hosting events for your sport throughout the year. Continuous support from UBSport will be provided as well as complimentary Sport & Fitness membership (peak gym, swim and group exercise classes) for the year.
