Club Members 2016/17
UoB Gymnastics is an inclusive and diverse sports clubs at the University of Birmingham. Our members range from novices who can only do a roly poly, to advanced gymnasts who have competed at nationals. We never take ourselves too seriously and always make sure we’re laughing and joking during training.
There are a lot of chances to compete throughout the year, including our own Birmingham Open competition. No matter what your level is, we always encourage and support all gymnasts to compete and simply give things a go.
BUCS is the biggest competition of the year, and we add to our medal tally at all ability levels year on year. At these competitions, we always endeavour to be the loudest and most supportive club there, showing off how amazing UoB Gymnastics truly is.
How to get into Gymnastics
We offer many chances to compete throughout the year for all different abilities. Our sport will help improve your balance, coordination, strength and flexibility.
Please note that on top of the club fee there is a £16 fee that covers personal accident insurance when training or competing for the University, access to free cross-training sessions such as circuits and yoga, as well as a contribution to the costs of affiliation to various national governing bodies. This fee is only payable once so if you did decide to join a second club then you would not need to pay a second fee.
Taster session and/or trial information will be available soon.
