Korfball

Never heard of Korfball before? As the only mixed gender team sport in the world, Korfball is both unique and all inclusive. Often referred to as a netball-basketball hybrid, all players have the ability to attack and defend in this fast-paced game, aiming to shoot into the 3.5m high basket. We are a friendly and sociable club who are always looking for new recruits to join our highly successful first, second, third, fourth and development teams. Be sure not to underestimate our welcoming exterior however, as we are all fiercely competitive and hold an enviable reputation among university teams. With the opportunity to represent the university competing at BUCS or just attend our club training sessions, it’s up to you how much time you invest in our sport.

Fear not if you are a newbie! Almost all of our members had never heard of Korfball before university, meaning everyone starts at the same level. All you need is a competitive spirit and the willingness to try out something new. So if you fancy getting to grips with this fast growing, dynamic sport, come along to one of our taster sessions and give it a go! You might just end up competing in our Korfball 1st team which is ranked third best in the country.

How to get involved

Taster session and/or trials will be on 22/09/2017 at 19.00 Munrow Arena 3.
