Ten Pin Bowling

We welcome players from all abilities, whether you want to bowl socially with friends, or go on to compete in tournaments. We bowl at Bowlplex, Five Ways (about 20 minutes walk from the Vale Village or 5 minute walk from Five Ways Station). We hold 2 sessions a week, consisting of 2 games (with the option to bowl more for £3/game) in a league format. Each week we hold a competition, giving out free games and drinks, with seasonal club tournaments to win larger prizes.

Varsity tournaments are held every month, which are open to all members who wish to form teams and participate, where you can win points to earn a place in the annual student masters tournament. Tournaments are fun and inclusive, with opportunities to win trophies, prizes and cash, and bowlers often find the challenge of student tournaments an exhilarating opportunity to test their skills. Whilst much of the coaching is done by current members, there are opportunities available to join professionally coached sessions each semester. We also have regular socials ranging from meals out, nights out and other activities. Sessions cost £6 for members and £7.50 for non-members Membership cards are available for £2 which grant members to discounted drinks and allow them to bowl at league prices outside of sessions.

How to get involved

Taster session and/or trial information will be available soon. The membership fee is £15 which will be reduced to £10 in Term 2.
