Windsurfing Club

Birmingham University Windsurfing Club is a relaxed group of sociable people who enjoy experiencing the sun, wind, and water at our local reservoir. We are a mixed club ranging from freshers to PHD students with varied windsurfing abilities, all the way from beginner to advanced. So, whether you’re looking to give windsurfing a go or you’re a pro windsurfer already, the qualified instructors in the club are keen to help out. All of our members have use of £15,000 worth of kit free of charge to use at any time. As well as our weekly windsurfing sessions we also enjoy nights out at the guild of students and clubs in town. We also run several socials a month where you’ll have the chance to try out activities such as trampolining, rock climbing or go-karting. Meals out, pub trips and movie nights are also a common occurrence.

We run trips to different universities throughout the year to meet up with other windsurfing clubs for some competition and amazing nights out in the host’s cities! It is a great way to experience student life and make friends from all over the country. The events include racing and freestyle competitions for all skill levels. We don’t only do trips in the UK, we also do a club holiday during the summer to places like Fuerteventura and Greece. Don’t worry, it won’t break the bank as the whole trip is great value and an amazing experience. If you want to join the best sports club at UOB with great people, fun socials and amazing holidays then Birmingham University Windsurfing Club is the only choice.
