Polo Success at Regionals

The University of Birmingham Polo Club took part in the annual University Challenge last weekend which is a regional tournament taking place in Rugby.

The club had a fantastic weekend, with beginner team 3B coming 2nd in their division, novice 2 and 3 both coming away with 3rd, and the intermediate team absolutely smashing their division with 1st place! Particular highlights from the event include the novice 2s beating Liverpool 8-2 and the intermediate team coming away with 6-1 victory against Loughborough.

Some brilliant polo was played, with lots of our new beginners showing great promise and getting fully stuck in. The novice teams proved that they are ready for a successful season, with some excellent goals being scored and some bold ride-offs during chukkas. Our intermediate team took no prisoners, with impressive scores throughout all chukkas giving them the upper hand over the whole tournament. A great start to the season for the Polo club!
