Two University of Birmingham students have recently been selected to represent Team GB at the Archery World Cup competitions in April and May.
Following her selection earlier in the year for the Archery World Cup 2018 in Shanghai, UoB Materials Science student Eleanor Piper has also now been selected to represent GB at the second World Cup competition in Antalya, Turkey.
Eleanor has only just transitioned from the Youth to Junior category within Archery, and has been selected well above her age group for the World Cups, as she will be competing at Senior level as one of four GB representatives. This means she’s not only been selected well above her age group but also beaten seniors in the same process – an amazing result for Eleanor who is having a busy year!
In addition to Eleanor’s fantastic success, UoB scholar Ashe Morgan has also been selected to compete at both the World Cup competitions. Ashe is a seasoned Senior competitor and his selection for the GB recurve team is a brilliant achievement.
