Birmingham’s Women’s Football 3s came back with a bang this Wednesday after losing their opening game of the season. They dominated the game against Nottingham from the start and managed to record a 4-2 win.
The girls played some great football down the left-hand side which resulted in the first goal of the match. Nonetheless, Nottingham came back into the game after the first goal and scored against the home side. Birmingham responded well and scored again from close range after a corner. However, the away side forced the girls to work for their win. The opposition scored a scrappy goal to level the scores at 2-2. This only made the girls work even harder for their win and from this point onwards they dominated the game. As a result, two more slick goals were scored against a tired Nottingham side. This is a great result for the 3s after the defeat last week and it was good to see the girls learning from a set-back. Long may their success continue!
