Kit Checklist
for your visit to the Raymond Priestly Centre
When visiting us at the Raymond Priestly Centre, we are able to provide you with some essential pieces of equipment and activewear that you can use whilst completing your activities.
We have provided you with a kit list below, detailing the items we will provide you with, and the items you should bring along with you.
Please don’t buy lots of new equipment that you won’t use again. Contact the centre via phone or email if you have any questions.

- Walking boots
- Old trainers for water activities
- Wellington boots
- Waterproofs
- Wetsuits
- Rucksack
- Drinks bottles
- Flask for hot drinks
- Limited supply of warm clothing
- All technical and safety equipment
Brought by you
- Toiletries and a towel
- Any personal medication you normally require
- Drinks bottle or flask
- Lots of warm clothing for outdoor use e.g. fleece or woolly jumper, or similar quick drying material, thermal shirt or ‘football type’ top
- Trousers suitable for outdoor use e.g. tracksuit trousers (jeans are NOT suitable for outside sessions – they stay wet and will be uncomfortable for some activities)
- Thermal tights or leggings
- Swimming costume – you will not be forced to swim; this is for use under a wetsuit.
- An absolute minimum of 1 change of clothes for activities
- Comfortable casual clothing for use in the Centre
- Night wear
- Thicker long socks for use in boots, not cotton tennis socks or trainer socks
- Practical shoes (trainers) – these may get wet or muddy
- Other shoes to keep clean/dry
- Wool or fleece hat, scarf and gloves
- Walking boots

Things to consider bringing
- Your own pillow
- Ear plugs (for snorers)/eye mask
- Snacks for activities and around the centre (no peanuts!)
- Small torch
- Sun cream
