HEAD OF HOCKEY
The role of Head of Hockey will be responsible for delivering and developing the University’s flagship hockey programme, working with the next generation of emerging talent to succeed across our BUCS and National Hockey League teams. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the hockey programme, including coaching philosophy, style, development and performance of the club, including the appointment and development of coaching staff.  They will have direct responsibility for the performance of the 1st and 2nd teams in BUCS and of our National Hockey League teams, including direct coaching our National league teams. From the point of recruitment to maintaining the fantastic performance environment for our athletes, the post-holder will ensure a high-quality student experience is maintained throughout the club, steering a culture consistent with our values.  They will do this working with a team of experienced coaches and multi-disciplinary team comprising specialist support practitioners within a sector-leading dual-career environment.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH
The holder of this role within The Performance Centre will assist the Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach in the delivery of S&C support services to our University Athletes and Teams. They will be responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating the S&C programmes for designated University priority teams/clubs and sport scholars (UoB & TASS). In addition establishing and maintaining links to other disciplines (e.g. nutrition, physiology, psychology & physiotherapy).

TRAINEE STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH
It is anticipated that this 18-month trainee position will enable an individual to work towards the next stages of their professional development as an S&C coach through practical on the job training, mentoring and an annual £1200 CPD budget. Gaining applied knowledge and experience of working with a range of teams/athletes within a multi-disciplinary team. Once the holder of the post has completed their initial training they will be expected to assist in the design and delivery of S&C coaching sessions to designated UB Sport teams/athletes and develop their data analysis skills through assigned S&C related projects. A formalised programme of training and development is provided with the initial focus on acquiring UKSCA accreditation (if not yet achieved).Â

CASUAL GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTOR
Level 2 or equivalent exercise to music qualification required. Please complete the form below if you are interested in being a Group Exercise Instructor on a casual basis. There is no specific closing date. However, we will close this form once sufficient applicants have been received.
