Climbing Timetable
The climbing timetable includes a range of sessions for both adults and juniors.
Climbing Taster Sessions
If you’re brand new to the sport, or a regular climber, come along to our Climbing taster sessions.
Â
These tasters will give you the opportunity to climb on our wall, under the supervision of a qualified instructor. Please wear flat soled shoes and clothing you are comfortable moving and climbing in.

The climbing session was great. Sam did a really fantastic job of supporting me, my wife and my daughter. We were all at different levels, and he catered for that really well. It was a really supportive session which meant we all got the most from it. He was encouraging without putting pressure on anyone to go further than they were comfortable. I'd definitely do this again.

Try a Sport: Climbing courses

Each session is 90 minutes and all equipment is included.Â
Â
Beginner: These 4-week climbing courses are aimed at those with limited prior experience of climbing indoors. During your 4-week course, over each 90-minute session you’ll learn the basics of safe climbing on Indoor Climbing Walls, including the correct fitting of a harness, how to tie into the rope, how to use a belay device, alongside learning and practicing the basics of climbing movement.
Intermediate: These 4-week climbing courses are for competent climbers or those that have completed a previous Sport & Fitness beginner course. You will learn efficient climbing movement techniques, alongside building confidence and stamina.
Junior Climbing Club
Wednesday: 4.00pm – 5.00pm
Saturday: 10.00am – 11.30am
Saturday: 11.45am – 1.15pm
If your junior is new to Sport & Fitness, please create an account for them before you book onto Junior Climbing Club.

All climbing equipment is provided however, please ensure juniors wear close-fitting footwear such as trainers.
Suitable for all children aged 6+.
- Ages 6-8 – parents / guardians need to stay at the climbing wall and watch the session
- Ages 9-13 – in the building and easily contactable for emergencies
- Ages 14+ – can attend without parental supervision
