UBAC is a friendly, welcoming archery club that supports all bow styles and caters to both social and competitive archers. We’re one of the country’s leading university clubs, with recent success in the TOUCAN league and BUCS, and members who compete at local, national and international levels. Joining UBAC means regular training, fun socials and the chance to develop your skills — whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced archer.

Our Club
UBAC includes a regular membership, a performance team and a new development squad. The performance team requires selection and an additional fee, attending competitions such as TOUCAN and BUCS and training in an extra weekly session with our head coach. The development squad is free and open to all, offering focused support from student coaches, structured training and opportunities to compete at university events with only a small fee for transport and entry.
Â
Members can also get involved through our varied socials, including our popular Agincourt formal — a club tradition — and our family scheme, which pairs new members with returning archers for support and community. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive club, recognised with the university sports ED&I award, and aim to ensure every member feels a strong sense of belonging.

Competition Opportunities
We compete as part of the TOUCAN league, BUCS, and BUTC as a club. When selecting who attends competitions, priority is given to our best‑performing archers, whether they are on the performance team or
are part of the development squad.
Â
Our TOUCAN league and BUCS competitions are split into an experienced category and a novice category (those who started shooting at the start of the academic year),
so you can be assured that if you are new to the sport, you will be competing against people with a comparable experience level.
