UoB Equestrian Club offers something for everyone! We cater to
complete beginners all the way up to advanced riders. We are a growing club and pride ourselves on inclusivity to all, regardless of experience.

The club provides an easy way to get the horse fix whilst balancing university life and opening the door to weekly socials. You do not need a horse to join the club!

Our Club
UoB Equestrian offers opportunities for riders of all abilities, from complete beginners to advanced competitors. Our club is structured into teams of four plus a reserve, competing in BUCS and friendly leagues across a range of abilities. The First Team takes part in a Novice Dressage Test and a 90cm showjumping course on an unknown horse, with trials held on 30 September.
For beginners or riders who prefer not to compete, we run weekly development squad training at all levels, with taster sessions on 7 October. Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience.
Beyond training and BUCS competitions, the club hosts social events, fundraising activities and additional competitions throughout the year, including our annual varsity and alumni competitions. Members can represent the university, compete alongside friends and get involved in the wider equestrian community. We also run a variety of socials — from nights out to relaxed sober events — helping riders meet new people and build friendships across the club.
Facilities
Moor Farm Stables
The club frequently train at the Moor Farm Sables, located in Coventry and home to a variety of horses of all abilities. Transport will be organised by the club.
Gym
Our state-of-the-art gym is available for all your strength and conditioning needs.

Competition Opportunities
Our 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams compete in BUCS. The 1st team competes in the
championship league, completing a novice dressage test and a 90 cm showjumping course in the pool stages.

The 2nd and 3rd team compete in
the trophy league, completing a prelim dressage test and a 75 cm showjumping course. Our university friendly teams compete in a midlands league. All teams compete on unknown horses.
