Here at UoB we live, love, lacrosse – and we have four dynamic teams to prove it. Whether you’re a seasoned player or you’ve never picked up a stick before, there’s a team waiting for you. All four of our teams train between two and three times per week, working on every aspect of the game – stickwork, fitness, and teamwork.

Alongside training and matches we enjoy pre-game team meals, weekly socials and whole club events each term.

September Taster Session
New to lacrosse? Perfect. On Thursday 24 September we are holding a taster session on Bournbrook 3G, which will be a great opportunity to try out lacrosse if you’ve never played before or get back into the swing of things and meet some of our members.
Come for 10 minutes or stay for the hour! We have all the equipment you need, so bring your trainers and a friend and see what we’re all about. We also host club trials on Saturday 26 September which is open to all players. Please note that if you want to play in a high-level, competitive team attendance at trials is essential.
Full details for both these events will be announced on our Instagram.
Inclusion, Accessibility and Disability Practices
The Lacrosse Club fosters inclusivity through a buddy system that pairs team members, ensuring that each player has a source of encouragement and support, particularly on match days. The inclusion officer provides follow-up support to ensure concerns are addressed, reinforcing a culture of belonging. To cater to diverse social preferences, the club organizes sober socials such as pasta nights, offering a welcoming environment outside traditional sporting events.
The club makes lacrosse accessible by adjusting membership prices, allowing new players, international students, and those with injuries to participate. A mixed team is open to all abilities, providing a platform for beginners to experience the sport. These initiatives have helped create an inclusive space where individuals of different skill levels and backgrounds can enjoy lacrosse.
