POLO & POLOCROSSE
STUDENT CLUB
The University of Birmingham Polo and Polocrosse club is a sociable, friendly, and successful club. We encourage everyone studying at the university to take up this exhilarating and rewarding sport, whether a seasoned pro or a complete non-rider. With a mixture of either hockey or lacrosse on horseback, polo and polocrosse are guaranteed to be interesting and exciting sports to pick up, and what better time to try than at university?
Â
The club was founded in 2008 and from its humble beginnings it has grown into one of the largest and most competitive university clubs in the country. In 2018, the University of Birmingham founded the University Polo League, which enables Universities across the country to have competitive chukkas more regularly.
Â
We train weekly at Rugby Polo Club, often on a Wednesday afternoon but other times and days can be arranged to suit your needs and timetable. With three other universities training at Rugby, we are also able to play friendly chukkas each term!
