Our Club

We have four coaches delivering three training sessions each week, with all sessions tailored to accommodate players from a range of sporting backgrounds. Alongside our BUCS programme, we have a Development Squad for those new to rugby or looking to build confidence in the game.

The club currently has two BUCS teams competing in Premier North and Midlands 1B, as well as a Development Squad that regularly competes in the Inner Warrior Series and, following the 25/26 season, with Bournville Rugby Club in the NC3 National League. We are a growing club with a successful record on and off the pitch, with former players progressing to the Premiership, the Red Roses, Great Britain 7s, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, and the HSBC 7s Circuit.

One of the highlights of our calendar is Engage, our super-series event that showcases the strength and talent within the club. Following the BUCS season, we also take part in a range of 7s competitions, including hosting our own Annual 7s Tournament, attending Oddballs Festival, and competing at BUCS Celestial 7s.

Beyond playing opportunities, members can also pursue personal development through refereeing and coaching qualifications. Away from rugby, the club hosts weekly socials throughout the year, as well as a Christmas Dinner and our annual Rugby Dinner to celebrate the season and recognise individual achievements.
