Triathlon is an inclusive and welcoming club, providing high-quality training for complete beginners up to elite triathletes who can train with our performance squad. Birmingham Triathlon ranked 3rd Overall in BUCS in 2023, with many outstanding individual results.

By joining the club, you will have access to state-of-the-art facilities at the University of Birmingham’s Sport and Fitness Centre, and the opportunity to compete in the BUCS Championships and many other races.
All members of the team have the opportunity to train for and compete in a variety of races throughout the year. British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) races include the BUCS Duathlon, the BUCS Biathlon, the BUCS Pentathlon, the BUCS Sprint Distance Triathlon and the BUCS Standard Distance Triathlon. We also compete in other non-BUCS races and host our own Inter-university Aquathlon Championships here at UoB. So there is plenty for everyone to get involved in, no matter what level you wish to compete at. Even if you don’t want to compete, please don’t be put off by all of those races! There is plenty for you to get out of the training sessions that we offer and a whole new group of sociable people to meet!

We also take our members on a training weekend away in October to the likes of Snowdonia, and the highlight of our year is the annual training camp in Mallorca! For a taste of the trip, watch this videoThe trips along with various socials and fundraising activities throughout the year contribute to the strong sense of community in our club.
