The University of Birmingham Water Polo Club is and inclusive, accessible and friendly club with training and match play opportunities for everyone, from complete beginner sessions to friendly matches and BUCS level competitions. We have a women’s first team who play in the BUCS Southern Premier League and a men’s first team who play in the BUCS West Midlands Division 1, as well as two second teams that have regular friendlies against other local universities. However, if you would prefer not to play in games then we have 4 pool-based training sessions scheduled across the week but also have many other activities that go on including runs, S&C sessions and other classes.
We also are an incredibly social club, accommodating for all lifestyles, in which we go only weekly nights out, monthly sober socials, quizzes etc. and really try to be as welcoming as possible.
If you have played before and want to pick it back up or never heard of the sport but want to give it a go then get in contact with us via outlet social media platforms (Instagram and Facebook) or email and we will happily answer any queries.
