STUDENT CLUB

University of Birmingham Windsurf Club is a relaxed group of sociable people who enjoy experiencing all University has to offer.

Our members range from freshers to PhD students with varied windsurfing abilities – so whether you’re already an experienced windsurfer or an absolute beginner, we have everything you need to get stuck into the sport! Our team of qualified instructors and our diverse range of kit allows everyone to get out on the water, with up to 2 sessions a week included in your membership fee.

We also run weekend trips to different Universities throughout the year to meet up with other windsurfing clubs for competitions and amazing nights out in the host’s cities! Not only are you able to take part in races and competitions and get expert tuition, but you’ll spend two days exploring cities like Nottingham, Bristol, Liverpool and Swansea with a huge group of your mates.

If that wasn’t enough, every summer we join with the other Universities across the UK and head off to an exotic country for even more windsurfing. Trips to resorts in Vassiliki, Croatia, Fuerteventura & more make for an incredible week of windsurfing, SUP boarding, mountain-biking and making memories you’ll never forget.

TRAINING TIMES & VENUES

We run weekly sessions at the local Edgbaston reservoir (30 minutes away) on Wednesday afternoons, as well as at weekends. Wednesday sessions in first term are more tailored to beginners whilst weekend sessions are open to all abilities, in second term all sessions are open.
