Pride and Purpose: A Message from Luke Gunn

Luke Gunn, Head of Student Sport, shared his pride in the University’s contribution:

“We are delighted to have so many students representing the University at the upcoming World University Games next month.

Our record 13 athletes make us the second largest contributor to the GB team, which is testament to the growing strength of Birmingham and its sports programmes.

The University is also proud to be contributing to the personal contributions required of each selected athlete to compete in this, the highest form of competition for the student athlete.

Finally, we are brimming with pride that a stunning five of our coaching staff will also be in Germany supporting GB students as coaching and team management staff.

We wish the best of luck to the whole GB team and UBSport will do our best to share updates on how to watch and keep up to date with their progress.”
