The Swimming Club bring back an incredible haul of medals and records
The Swimming Team have delivered an outstanding set of results at the BUCS Short Course Championship and West Midlands Short Course Championship with 20 club records, 76 medals and 173 PB swims across both events.Â
Under the leadership of Gary Humpage, who was recently awarded a silver medal at ‘Performance Swim Coach of the Year 2025’ at the Swim England awards, the swimming club brought back an impressive hauls of medals and accolades. The team worked together to deliver some outstanding performances; the results are a testament to the hard work that the team put in over the first semester.

Highlights of the weekend include Izabella Okaro not only winning gold in the 50m Freestyle in a time of 24.03 but also setting a new club record and gaining a personal best. Lewis Jones also picked up two silver medals in the 50m Multi-Class Breaststroke (para) and 100m backstroke. Our Women’s 4x50m Medley Relay Team (Sophie Knocker, Nellie Clark, Tallulah Paisley and Izabella Okaro) took home bronze finishing in 1:50.49 smashing the club record by 4.53 seconds.Â

The Swimming Club are now turning their attention to Winter Nationals which are taking place in Sheffield between Thursday 11 December and Sunday 14 December
