Celebrating Coach Gary Humpage’s Nomination at the Swim England National Awards 2025

We are delighted to announce that our very own Swimming Head Coach Gary Humpage has been nominated for Performance Coach of the Year at the prestigious Swim England National Awards 2025.

The awards will take place on Saturday 29 November at the Great Hall here on Campus, bringing together the entire aquatics community to celebrate the incredible contributions of individuals, clubs, and organisations across the country.

From coaches and teachers to volunteers and athletes, the ceremony shines a light on those who make Swimming such a fantastic sport.

This award recognises coaches who have guided athletes to international success and outstanding competitive results. It celebrates those who:

  • Create performance environments that foster holistic athlete development
  • Demonstrate integrity and values in the pursuit of excellence
  • Deliver safe, enjoyable, and successful experiences for their athletes

Gary’s nomination is a testament to his dedication and the impact he has had on the Swim team. Under his guidance, athletes have not only achieved remarkable competitive results but have also grown as individuals. We couldn’t be prouder to see Gary’s hard work recognised on such a national stage.

As the awards night approaches, we look forward to cheering Gary on as he represents us at the Great Hall.
